College Application Essay Recommendations

College Application Essay RecommendationsThe college application essay is one of the most important parts of the college admission process. While essays are largely a 'get rich quick' scheme in college admissions, the process of writing and editing your own essay can be tedious and time consuming. One way to ease that burden is to ask friends or family members for college application essay recommendations. If you are applying to college for the first time or just need a little push for your essay to come together, there are several ways to get your essay written and accepted.- Use the internet. In the days before computers and the internet, the only reliable way to submit your essay was to hand write it on index cards or graph paper. This method was time consuming and often left a lot to be desired. However, technology has made it possible to submit your essay electronically. The simplest form of electronic submission of an essay is simply submitting it electronically to the college o f your choice and expect to receive a formal paper. If this is the case, you should send the paper with some sort of proof of coursework. Such proof may be a resume or an academic transcript. You will find that sometimes this does not work out, but it is good to have this backup plan to make sure that everything goes smoothly when you meet with the admissions officer.- Community colleges are another great resource for submitting your essay. Most community colleges will have at least one instructor that is willing to write you an essay on a variety of topics, usually for a fee. The teacher will usually make notes on the essay and will even give you feedback after the class so that you can improve your essay.- Another source for good essay recommendations is the instructor that you currently have in your college. If they are willing to write an essay for you, you can ask them for recommendation letters. Of course, this means that you will have to do a bit of reading, but this is a goo d way to get started in writing a college application essay.- When you go to apply for a scholarship, look for information about the student, or the scholarships, in the local newspaper. You can also check the local government website for any scholarships that have been approved. If you have a family member who already receives any money for college, ask them for a recommendation letter. They will probably be happy to do so, since the last thing they want is another applicant who has not worked hard to earn their scholarship.- A high school counselor can also provide you with helpful advice on essays. College admissions officers are familiar with their work, and many of them are capable writers. If they are used to reviewing essays, they may have suggested improvements to make. Be sure to follow these suggestions exactly, because your high school counselor will not be able to offer you further guidance.Following the guidelines above will help you achieve the best college application essay, but this doesn't mean that you should stop trying to write one. With the additional knowledge that you now have, you can use this information to improve your writing and to get your essay accepted. Remember, your future will be at stake, so take your time and read over every aspect of the essay.
